Over the past three months, our team has manufactured and delivered 26 assistive devices, primarily wheelchairs and standing frames, to children with significant mobility and postural support needs. For many of these children, this was the first time they had access to equipment tailored to their individual condition. Each device was produced following an assessment to ensure proper fit and functionality, enabling the children to move more safely, participate in school and home activities, and engage more confidently with their communities. Access to appropriate assistive devices does not only improve mobility; it helps prevent secondary health complications, promotes better posture, and restores dignity and independence to both the child and their family.
Alongside device distribution, we invested in training parents and caregivers on basic therapeutic interventions and daily home-based care. Through practical, hands-on sessions, families learned positioning techniques, safe transfers, pressure care, and simple exercises that reinforce rehabilitation goals. This approach ensures that the devices are used correctly and consistently, maximizing long-term impact. While the need remains substantial, especially among vulnerable and underserved children, these results demonstrate the tangible difference donor support can make. With continued investment, we are prepared to expand our reach and provide life-changing mobility solutions to even more children in need.
