Thank you to everyone who has supported Ashinaga Foundation's project "Support Talented Young African Leaders in Uganda" and for your donations.
Ashinaga carefully utilized the donations collected through this project as part of the educational support expenses for the Ashinaga Africa Initiative scholarship recipients.
From 2020 to 2023, a total of 86 students participated in the Study Camp and Preparation Camp at the Ashinaga Uganda Kokoro Juku in Uganda, East Africa. This facility is the starting point of an enriching journey for orphaned students who aspire to become future leaders in addressing social issues.
They meet fellow students from other Sub-Sahara African countries who aspire to become leaders, refine their goals, dreams, and aspirations, and then study in Japan, the United States, France, Brazil, and other countries.
There were times when face-to-face classes and support became difficult due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Only with your support could we overcome those difficulties and continue the program, allowing the scholarship recipients to study abroad. We would like to again express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this possible.
Although we started this project in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to close it due to current social conditions and system changes.
This project will be integrated into "Access to Education for Talented African Students."
We will continue to report on the activities and growth of these bright students through this project, our website, SNS, and other means. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
