By Monique Beauchamp | Volunteer Captain
ASAP for youth was introduced to several schools last May/June with a letter and a video created by several students. Very soon, we will download the video on GlobalGiving. Students did the filming, some editing and interviews as well. We believe that kids should be involved in the projects by researching, and learning. Getting involved with the community by participating as much as possible with the organization: kids helping kids. Our next step will be contacting the schools and do a follow up on the letter sent in May and June to schedule the symposiums for this coming school year. Our voluntters (students) will keep on working on the web page as well. A short version of the video will be included in the web page.
We will also encourage our volunteers to create clubs at their schools for the prevention of alcohol among kids and teens. The clubs will be part of ASAP for youth, standing together and we will support them and guide them. Our main goal is for kids TO PARTICIPATE!
STANDING TOGETHER, ONE DEED AT A TIME
