ASAP (Act Support Alcohol Prevention) will continue 2019 with events that will educate parents in our community. The Workshop with Doctor Tàlamo that took place few months ago, turned out to be a great event and parents were impressed with it. They learned alot of ways about how to communicate with our children. They learned Facts on alcohol consumption at an early age (pre teens and teens) We will continue our efforst with a second workshop with Doctor Tàlamo.
Some of the main points for the workshop: (among others)
Explain teens behaviors and the reason (s) why they want to consume alcohol.
Explain the importance of "reinforcement" of no alcohol at an early age.
Explain how communication with our kids is extremely important (active family and community involvement) Improvement of parent-child relations using positive reinforcement, listening and communication skills, and problem solving.
Doctor Talamo will explain the importance of development of personal, social, and resistance skills.
