Hello Everyone,
We'd like to give you an update on our programming in Daru! Although we are still quite far from our fundraising goal, we have moved forward with our program and have just completed the third two-week interval of our intensive training programs in batik and screen-printing. Our girls in the batik programming have completed three of four units in batik wax design, tie-and-dye (birds-eye, checker, and rainbow styles), waxed broom patterns, and waxed landscape design. Our screen-printing students have learned to make block-letters and designs for t-shirt and banner printing, as well as designs for table cloth production. We have also rented space in the local market for our students to sell their wares. Thanks for your ongoing support! Please consider a monthly recurring donation as we work towards meeting our fundraising goals and purchasing graduation supply kits for our students!
