On Thursday, April 24, 2025, a select group of students from City Hearts’ Wilson ’n William Theatre Program experienced an unforgettable day on the NBCUniversal lot. Not only did they engage with some of the brightest creative minds in the industry, but they also took center stage in an exclusive student showcase.
The day began with a one-hour roundtable where students had the rare opportunity to engage directly with top NBCUniversal executives. This was followed by a catered dinner that allowed students to continue meaningful conversations with executives, creatives, and their own family members and loved ones who joined for the evening. The night culminated in a live student showcase, featuring feedback from a distinguished panel that included NBCUniversal executives and Bel-Air series regular, Simone Joy Jones. Every student received thoughtful, live feedback from each of the 3 panelists giving all in attendance a chance to learn, reflect, and grow.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) @NBCUniversal for your invaluable partnership in making this experience possible for our high school actors from the Centinela Valley Union High School District (CVUHSD).
We are also deeply grateful to our incredible Teaching Artists, Roy Williams, Jr., Caitlin Arndt, and Lester Purry, for their dedication and mentorship throughout the year. And none of this would be possible without the generous support of the Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD) and the Care First Community Investment (CFCI) Care Grant. Thank you for helping us bring this life-changing opportunity to life.
