Top ideas from Apps for Good young people

By Matt Guy | Head of Fundraising and Partnerships

150 teams of young people entered the Apps for Good Awards this year. These young innovators have completed an Apps for Good course and entered the Awards to showcase their work.

The ideas included apps to help us buy more sustainable clothes, to make attending and hosting activities easier, to improve revision, develop reading, improve mental health and reuse our waste.

The 150 entries were shortlisted by around 300 volunteers from our community of companies and supporters. They gave individual feedback to the young people and helped us pick the 15 finalists.

Finalists pitched their idea live via video call to our panel of judges, while competing for public votes in the People's Choice Award.

You can see which entries eventually came out on top at www.appsforgood.org/awards/2021
