The Anti-Abuse Program for 400 Children in Sokoto is currently in its early stage, with financial progress yet to be achieved. As of this reporting period, the total project budget remains at $15,118, with 0 funds raised, 0 donors recorded, and no monthly contributions secured. This indicates that full implementation activities are pending, as funding is required to activate key components of the program including training sessions, educational materials, and community engagement efforts.
Despite the lack of financial inflow so far, foundational preparatory steps have been initiated at minimal cost. Stakeholder mapping within target communities has begun, and preliminary engagement with local educators and community leaders is underway to ensure readiness once funding is secured. The project team has also refined implementation strategies to maintain a low-cost, high-impact approach, ensuring that once funds are available, resources will be efficiently deployed for maximum protection outcomes.
Immediate priorities remain focused on resource mobilization and donor engagement to unlock project execution. Efforts are being intensified to attract both one-time and recurring donors, as financial support is critical to reaching the target of 400 children. With adequate funding, the program is positioned to rapidly transition from planning to full implementation, delivering measurable child protection outcomes and establishing sustainable community-based safety systems.
