Summary

The project will enable real-time data collection, ensuring citizens' feedback reaches government and organizational stakeholders through Faayo, a mobile platform where Ugandans can rate and review public services. Each response influences policy, improves services, and drives change, targeting over 10,000 Ugandans, especially those in marginalized communities. Your support sustains this vital platform, amplifying citizen voices and improving public service management.

Challenge

Marginalized communities lack channels to voice concerns about essential services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Rural populations, women in remote areas, youth in urban slums, and people with disabilities face significant barriers to accessing quality services. This project will empower 10,000 citizens to report issues via a mobile platform, train 200 community monitors, and focus on 13 districts, ensuring marginalized voices are heard and driving improvements in public service

Solution

The project empowers marginalized communities in Uganda to share feedback on public services via the Faayo platform, covering SMS/data costs for inclusivity. It trains citizens, analyzes real-time feedback, and creates reports for government and CSOs. Promotional campaigns will expand reach, and stakeholder meetings will turn feedback into policy improvements. With scalable features like real-time data visualization and multilingual options, the platform will improve service delivery.

Long-Term Impact

This project will directly impact over 10,000 Ugandans, including rural populations, women in remote areas, youth in urban slums, and people with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard in matters that affect their daily lives. Over time, it will create systemic changes in how public services are delivered and monitored, benefitting thousands of communities in underserved regions. It will use a scalable civic engagement model, ensuring continuous responsiveness to evolving community needs.
