Altus Sport empowers youth, especially girls from underserved communities, through sport, mentorship, and leadership development. From 2026-2028, we will expand Olympic Clubs and youth leadership programmes, building confidence, life skills, and teamwork. By providing safe, inclusive spaces and mentoring, we challenge gender stereotypes, foster resilience, and create future leaders. Donor support helps unlock potential, transform lives, and strengthen communities through sport.
Youth in underserved communities face weak education and sport systems, limited leadership opportunities, and low physical activity (ages 8-17). Discrimination, lack of safe spaces, and poor safeguarding put them at risk. Awareness of environmental issues, alcohol abuse, and positive values is low, while high youth unemployment limits prospects. Sport can address these gaps, offering safe spaces, life skills, and pathways to personal and professional growth.
Altus Sport will address these challenges by creating safe, inclusive sport spaces and leadership opportunities for youth, especially girls, in underserved communities. Through Olympic Clubs, mentorship, life skills training, and educational games, participants build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. The programme promotes positive values, environmental awareness, and healthy lifestyles, while sport serves as a pathway to skills development, personal growth, and future opportunities.
This project will create lasting change by empowering youth (4000), particularly girls, in underserved communities to become confident leaders and active citizens. Participants will gain life skills, resilience, and positive values, while communities benefit from stronger social cohesion and safer, inclusive spaces. Over time, increased sport participation and leadership opportunities will reduce inequality, improve health, and open pathways to education, employment, and personal growth.
