Altus Sport has continued strengthening its role in youth development through sport, education, leadership and community engagement. Programme delivery has remained focused on creating safe and inclusive opportunities for children and youth in underserved schools and communities through the Life’s a Ball programme, while preparing for the implementation of the Life’s a Ball Olympism Initiative. Youth Sport Leaders have continued facilitating sport and life-skills activities, promoting leadership, health awareness, positive values, gender equality, and decision-making among learners.
A strong focus has also been placed on programme development, partnerships and education pathways. Altus Sport has worked closely with schools, government stakeholders, and partners to strengthen the integration of Olympism, learner leadership, literacy support, market gardens and physical activity within school environments. Significant effort has gone into refining programme structures, monitoring and evaluation systems, and developing sustainable learner leadership pathways through the upcoming Olympism Clubs and Go & Grow activities.
Despite a challenging funding environment, Altus Sport has remained committed to programme continuity and impact. Through strong partnerships, volunteer involvement and the dedication of Youth Sport Leaders, our organisation continues to create opportunities for young people to build confidence, leadership, resilience and positive educational outcomes through sport and mentorship.
