Alpha Edtech - Social Code Academy

The Alpha EdTech Project seeks to train young people in technology, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation or ethnicity, possibly in a situation of vulnerability, providing access to opportunities for effective social mobility, through education aligned with the needs of IT professionals by companies.

In January and February 2023, we carried out the activities foreseen in the project, which were:

• Opening of registration for the project.

• Start of publicity campaign.

• Alpha EdTech selection process.

• Development and availability of the virtual environment.

Regarding the actions to prepare the virtual environment, the resources made available by Alpha for the preparation and development of this environment continue at an intense pace of work. What we can see during the first month of execution of the project where the institute needed to adapt its resources to allow the continuity of the work, thus providing more technical professionals and project managers.

The general objective is to generate social mobility by providing training opportunities for young talent (in a vulnerable situation) interested in this area of professional relevance, specifically in information technologies.

O projeto conta não só com aulas online, mas também com atividades presenciais com os professores, onde a interação com os participantes se torna mais dinâmica e próxima. Dessa forma, professores e monitores podem auxiliar mais rapidamente os alunos que sentirem necessidade de maiores esclarecimentos sobre as disciplinas lecionadas.

Os participantes tiveram aulas de equalização de conhecimentos e abordaram assuntos específicos relacionados às atividades de programação. Assim, foi possível partir de um mesmo ponto de conhecimento comum para todos os participantes das atividades do projeto.
