By Samuel Odongo | Administrative Associate

My name is Racheal, 13 years old, I am in primary Six at Lira Modern Primary, School, I would want to thanks Platform for Labour Action for supporting me through paying my school fees. I used to sell Bananas in town, working in the Garden from morning to evening but now days PLA has talked to my Guardiance and I am Not doing heavy work like before.

I am now going to school every day since the school bursar is not sending me away from school even when PLA has not yet paid my tution, the school calls them and follows it up with the organisation. I used to eat once in a day, but now days I take maize meal at school and Lunch at school and if I go back home even if they do not give me food, I am still fine from the meals I had at school. My life has changed for the better and I am grateful to all the people who help us to go back to school

Though auntie Susan’s Children (my Guardian), used to abuse me, that I am a poor girl, they are now admiring to be me since their daddy Lost his Job and all of them are not studying, I am the only one n the family attending school.  May God bless donors and PLA so much for them support my school and my dreams
