AKOT REBECCA’S  SUCCESS STORY

Akot Rebecca is 12 years old in P.6 at V.H public school.

She has one brother aged 8years old in p.3. Rebecca lost her father in 2007, her father died of sickness that she was unaware of.

At the moment, it’s her paternal aunty and uncle who are paying for her Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) and exams fees.

‘’My aunty tries to provide me with everything that I need in school and at home,’ narrates Rebecca

‘’My dream is to become a doctor and with hard work, I hope to make it,’ she added.

Rebecca has no hard ships at home in fact she is in boarding school and seem to be active in the school clubs like wild life, where animal lives is concerned important

According to her teacher,’ Rebecca participates in class and most especially in debates that are held at school and with a little more help from the organization in terms of text books would highly improve her performance since there are few text books in the school.’’

‘’I always wake up so early so that I don’t get to miss any lessons in order to perform better,’ she informed the field officer"

‘’I do appreciate the efforts of PLA in supporting me academically and most especially physiologically since they talk to me and tell me nice things like my future will be great if I only add more effort to my books.

Recommendation

We are grateful to Rebecca’s guardians for taking responsibility to care for her. She no longer needs support from PLA apart from encouragement to improve performance. She is grateful to Global giving donors for their contributions for the past four years .
