Improve Livelihoods of 225 HIV-affected families

By Lucy Mathenge | Project Assistant

So far we have not raised funds for our earlier initiative of installing rope and washer pumps at beneficiaries homestead for domestic use and irrigating their kitchen during the dry spell. We have not given up and we are working hard towards fundraising and we therefore request our well wishers to consider supporting this initiative. Currently the situation is not good as it has been very dry in most areas and some beneficiaries are not able to irrigate their kitchen gardens thus resulting to reduced vegetable production and in some areas no production at all. This is not only affecting their budget but also affecting their nutrition as many cannot afford to buy the supplement regularly. We are hoping the situation will improve soon and the beneficiaries will be in a position to reestablish their kitchen gardens. We are planning to provide them with seeds and organic fertilizer during the next planting season to enable them continue.
