Improve Livelihoods of 225 HIV-Affected Families

By Lucy Mathenge | Project assistant

As we approach the end of the year, we are happy for the achievements we have made.  It has been challenging in various ways but we are grateful we managed in one way or the other.  The achievements we have made is through our partners and our well-wishers from different places and we appreciate all the support given.  Our beneficiaries and community at large have expressed their gratitude for every support given to them and they are working forward for sustainability.   The year has been productive and most farmers are happy as they were able to harvest good yields despite damages as a result of heavy rainfall in parts of the country.  As earlier reported we continued with our monitoring and evaluation exercise and we are happy the progress with our beneficiaries is impressing, beneficiaries of goats and chicken have reported that this initiative has really uplifted them and motivated them to further production.  Nutrition has improved as a result of eggs, milk and meat accessibilities and our beneficiaries are looking healthy and energetic.  We intend to extend this program by empowering our farmers and beneficiaries so as to work together, learn and realize more as a result of collaborating.  In our trainings we have been involving all the community members and other stakeholders to ensure continuous harmony among all the players.  As we conclude the year, we request our partners and well wishers to continue supporting our project for more achievements and improving living standards of the families affected by HIV/Aids. Thank you for the continued support and we hope you will continue making lives of the less privileged in our society meaningful.
