It has been well with all our beneficiaries and we thank God the good progress we have had. It has been raining heavily since March and although some crops were badly affected by the heavy rains, farmers still have reasons to smile. There have been plenty of vegetables in the market and also in the farms and we are happy our beneficiaries are practicing value addition on the vegetables by solar drying them to be used during dry spell when there will be no vegetables in the farms. They appreciate the trainings and skills given and they are also training other farmers who are taking advantage of the varieties available.
Our beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude for the support of chicken and dairy goats given and they have reported that they are progressing on well and they promise to take good care of the goats and chicken. We have been conducting monitoring and evaluation with all the beneficiaries and we are happy to report that the progress is impressing. We managed to conduct food and nutrition training as earlier promised and we involved even the non-beneficiaries as we realized that this is a very important topic to everybody as we have realized that many people don’t know what is healthy eating and how to balance their diets to meet the nutrition needs of their families. We hope to conduct many of these trainings to sensitize our people on the issues concerning their nutrition needs. We hope to get more resources to enable us conduct these and other trainings especially for the families affected by Hiv/Aids. Thank you all who have contributed to the success of this project and we request them to consider extending their support.
