By Francis Osisiogu | Project Leader
The project is currently in its fundraising and preparatory phase, with efforts focused on securing the full $5,000 required to launch activities for 250 vulnerable children in Borno State. At this stage, no funds have been received and implementation has not yet commenced. Financial planning and budgeting have been completed to ensure that all donations received will be directly allocated toward tutor stipends, learning materials, safe learning spaces, backpacks, and psychosocial support services for participating children.
Community engagement and preliminary coordination with local stakeholders have also begun to ensure smooth project rollout once funding is secured. The project team remains committed to transparency and accountability, with systems being prepared for proper financial tracking and reporting throughout implementation. Continued donor support is urgently needed to enable the start of tutoring sessions and provide these at-risk children with the educational support and protection they urgently need.
