Orphan boys need job skills that will help them get good paying jobs. Getting an education and job training is the only way they can pull themselves out of poverty. Job skills include: electrical, automotive electrical, solar power, driving, business entrepreneurship, and tailoring. The boys travel from many different rural areas far and wide, mostly on foot, to attend school. The journey can be long and unsafe. Housing will allow them to attend school and get trained for jobs.
There are over 2 million orphans in Tanzania living in poverty. To escape poverty they need education and job training. It cost money to attend schools, that orphans do not have. This project will be provide free housing for orphan boys attending Isandula Vocational College. Orphans Africa pays for their tuition, school supplies, and tools for their job training.
With current job training orphans boys will be able to get high paying jobs in industries like electrical, solar power, automotive electrical, driving, and tailoring. They will also learn business skills and entrepreneurship. With good paying jobs they can pull themselves and family members out of poverty. This also improves the economics and health of the community. Isandula Vocational College has a 100% job placement.
This project will allow more orphan boys to get the training they need for good jobs. Good paying jobs allows them to provide for their families health and well-being, they give back to the community, and reduces the number of children suffering in poverty in Tanzania.
