'Hi Lou! I just wanted to update you on the results of our last Art For Africa exhibition at the Decatur Arts Festival and on the lesson proposal.
At our last art exhibition at the Decatur Arts Festival, we met some amazing people. The art exhibition went very well and we are already planning for our next event!
Attached below are the thank you letters written by donors and patrons to the students, as well as photos of a few of the donors with the artwork they got to take home.
Everyone loved seeing the students' hard work and enjoyed taking home artwork of their own.
The artwork is going to be displayed all over -- including in a kindergarten teacher's classroom and to brighten the days of children in the hospital who are sick. Additionally, a book illustrator who came to our exhibit loved the children's artwork and wrote them a note, which I have attached, and an international filmmaker visited our exhibit too!
Julia'
It's been incredible to see Julia in the US create art exhibitions around the work of the Angels. A strong visual arts programme is so important for all children, contributing to a well rounded and holistic education. We are grateful to your donations to our Visual Arts Programme that will see more works from South Africa adorn homes, businesses and schools in the US.
All of this would not be possible if it were not for the driving force of Julia S - thank you from all of us here at African Angels.
