Respected Donors,
Season's Greetings!
For many years, the Customs Healthcare Society (CHCS) has been providing vital medical services to Afghan refugees living in Pakistan. These refugees, awaiting resettlement to other countries with support from the UNHCR, face numerous challenges. Understanding the critical role language plays in their future integration and success, CHCS established the Customs Healthcare English Language & Art Academy specifically for Afghan refugees.
English Language Classes
The Academy offers English language classes from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, catering to different age groups, including men, women, and children. Currently, around 43 Afghan students are enrolled in the English language program. A dedicated team of three teachers works diligently to equip the students with language skills and cultural understanding, preparing them for better opportunities in their future resettlement.
Art Academy
Beyond language education, the Academy also runs an Art Academy with eight students under the instruction of one teacher. This initiative not only nurtures creativity but also serves as an essential outlet for self-expression and cultural enrichment.
Medical Camps and Relief Efforts
CHCS remains committed to organizing regular medical camps for Afghan refugees. These camps provide critical healthcare services, along with distributing food and gifts, especially for the children, aiming to uplift their spirits and improve their overall well-being during these challenging times.
Call for Support
The Customs Healthcare Society continues its mission to support Afghan refugees by offering crucial education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid. As the needs of these communities grow, CHCS humbly appeals to donors worldwide to help sustain and expand these life-changing programs.
Thank you for your ongoing compassion and generous support.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah
