Coral Restoration August to October 2016 Report

During this period (August to October 2016), a total of US$760.00 (via the Global Giving website from 18 donations, six of them recurring many thanks for the continued support). All your donations and giving this coral species a chance.
Coral reef nursery maintenance was conducted in our Montecristi (NW DR) location. Our trained staff at Galleon Divers was in charge of the maintenance, they report rope nurseries are doing much better that metal frame ones, possible due to higher sedimentation closer to the bottom than in the water column (metal frames vs. hanging ropes), we will take this into consideration when installing new coral nurseries.
Thanks to support from Tropigas Foundation, we were able to conduct an expansion of our coral nursery in Las Galeras, Samaná (NE DR). This expansion was possible due to excess growth of coral fragments installed there previously.
