Adopt-a-coral campaign was implemented during Christmas holydays using social media, and private sector companies that adopted corals for their clients.
Coral nursery activities conducted during this period include:
Nursery Location: Palmar de Ocoa
Last Monitoring Visit: November 5th, and January 28th
Status: Fragments still alive and are growing healthy. Some corals have died due to sedimentation.

Status: Rough sea conditions during the winter months when cold fronts reach DR north coast are frequent, have prevented us to work in this coral nursery.

Nursery Location: Pedernales

Status: More corals were installed in this nursery brought from Juancho coastal town, consisting mainly in fragments from Elkhorn corals (Acropora palmatta),
