We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who believes in the mission of UCESCO Africa and the future of the children in Loosuk, Samburu County, Kenya. Although our "Adopt a Child at a Distance" project has not received donations through GlobalGiving during the past three months, our commitment to these children remains unwavering.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream regardless of where they are born. While fundraising has slowed, our team has continued working closely with the community to ensure that our education and child welfare programmes remain active as much as our available resources allow.
Despite limited funding, we have continued to:
Maintain regular communication with local school leaders and community representatives.
Monitor the educational progress and well-being of vulnerable children enrolled in our programme.
Identify children who remain at risk of dropping out of school due to financial hardship.
Continue mobilising local volunteers and partners who generously give their time to support our activities.
Develop new fundraising and partnership strategies to secure sustainable support for the children.
Our staff and volunteers continue to believe that every child deserves access to education, nutritious meals, school supplies, and a safe environment in which to thrive.
Current Challenges
The absence of donations over the past three months has significantly limited our ability to:
Sponsor additional children.
Purchase school uniforms, books, and learning materials.
Provide nutritional support for vulnerable families.
Expand educational and mentorship activities within the Loosuk community.
Even so, we remain determined not to give up on the children who depend on this programme.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming months, UCESCO Africa will continue to:
Reach out to new individual donors and corporate partners.
Build relationships with schools, universities, and community organisations interested in supporting children's education.
Increase awareness of the Adopt a Child at a Distance programme through social media and community outreach.
Share more stories and updates from Loosuk to help supporters see the impact their generosity can make.
Every sponsorship, regardless of its size, has the power to transform a child's future by providing access to education, hope, and opportunity.
