The overall goal of this project is to fight against hate speech and other bad messages which can lead to violence between members of the communities in Democratic Republic of Congo in general and in the North Kivu province in particular. Indee, due to the different conflicts that have taken place in the region and in which many community members are unfortunately involved, there has been a misunderstanding between the communities because they accuse eachother to support one or another armed group in the country. Due to this issue, we decided to organize activities aiming at peacebuilding, social cohesion and peaceful cohabitation between communities. Through the implementation of a Peace Training and Education Center, young people both boys & girls (university students, secondary schools' pupils, etc), local authorities, women engaged in cross-border trade and other people from DRC and from the Great Lakes region could receive strategies on how to tackle Hate Speech.
The planned activities in this project through the establishment of this Center would somewhat contribute to reduce community conflicts in the Great Lakes region and more particularly in DRC.
This project should be a framework for exchanges, information, training and education for sustainable peace in the Great Lakes region. It complays for advocacy for responsible behaviour and shared public campains and educational resources for all the communities living in Democratic Republic of Congo in particular and those of the Great Lakes region in genaral.
Thus, as the conflicts in DRC persist and the hate speeches are still a big challenge between members of the communities living in the great region, we would like to call once again upon the generosity of people around the world to Donate to this project in order to allow people live in good harmony and cohesion through they education to peace they will receive.
