We've made tremendous progress in developing our maternity services over the past few months. In the past 2 weeks, we've delivered 10 babies. Due to the high birth rate and lack of suitable facilities in the area, demand for maternity services is extremely high.
Last week, we received a donation for $250 to support our enhanced maternity services. We were able to tell the donor that her donation will pay for at least 20 baby deliveries at our clinic! She responded that you can't get a few doses of Tylenol for that price in a US medical facility.
The AUCF team is now focused on purchasing new equipment--ultrasound equipment, delivery beds, etc--to improve our range and quality of service. And in early 2018, we'll begin construction of a new maternity ward.
Thank you!
