Next week our Executive Director, Angela Fee, and her son David, the Director of Operations (and author of this report) will travel to Awake in Northern Uganda. During our travels, we will meet several new staff members. We will work with a group from Nike--also traveling from Portland, OR--to host a cross country running meet for children. And, we will be working with the AUCF team to expand our HIV/AIDS services. We have offered basic diagnostic testing for several years. But beyond this, our services stop. Their is still a strong need in the region for ongoing HIV/AIDS treatment. We don't like to send patients away to another clinic--often over a 5 mile walk.
With your support, we will be able to expand the depth and breadth of our HIV/AIDS care, and service a wider population.
