The past two months have been extremely productive for Achon Uganda Children's Fund, and Kristina Health Clinic.
Since we expanded our maternity services, we have delivered dozens of babies. On the very first day of service, we delivered four. With the help of our ambulance, purchased a few years ago, we have been able to transport emergency births to the hospital in Lira, about 40 miles away. We have hired two midwives, and are looking to expand our facility to provide more beds for new mothers and their children.
Our HIV services have gained approval from the Ugandan government. We expect to providing HIV care within the month.
