Hello there!

It's time to let you know how your donation to our project is changing lives in Mexico and providing hope for youth in marginalized communities.

Meet Uriel and how the acces to technology and education has improved his life quality:

"My name is Uriel, I'm 24 years old and I live in a marginalized community in the State of Mexico. Due to the lack of opportunities in my community, I was only  able to finished secondary education, a situation that prevented me from finding a job to fulfill all my economic needs and personal aspirations.

My mother, Rosa, was very worried about my future. As a very enthusiastic student from the RIA center, she learned about the courses the center offered, specially those about enterprenurship and technology, and she did not hesitate to tell me about them and how they could help me to change my current situation.

I identify myself as a research enthusiast and a knowledge-seeker; skills that thought were useful for adventuring into the world of entrepreneurship. When I learned about the courses, I had a brainstorm of possible business ideas that I could develop in order to start my own business. Even though I was informed that the complete route would take me six months to complete, I was not discouraged since a very tangible and concrete opportunity to improve my life was in front of me.

With the help of technology, I was able to define a business model and take the first actions towards executing my idea. Furthermore and thanks to my teacher, I was able to narrowly define it in order to incorporate innovative components that could later result in success for my business. Currently and after completing the whole route, I am closer to conclude the development of a marketing company for small local business which are not able or do not have the necessary resources  to promote and showcase their products, preventing them with competing with bigger companies."

Uriel's story is just one example of how thanks to your donation Mexican youth is finding more opportunities to access education and technology that can provide them with life-changing experiences.
