We are writing to express our thanks for your recent donation to the Fundacion Proacceso's projects. Gifts from donors like you provide the support we need to continue our mission of bridging the digital divide in Mexico by providing low-income communities with quality educational opportunities and access to digital technologies.
Meet Don! a 70 year old user that loves learning about new technologies, computers and the internet! he even took a course on how to use social networks. Don now feels empowered because he now knows how to use a computer. Besides, feeling part of this personal and digital community has made him feel younger! https://vimeo.com/78684269
When Don thought that using a computer was not for someone his age, he discovered the Learning and Innovation Network (Red de Innovación y Aprendizaje or RIA), and now he has completed three computing courses. Because of your participation, we were able to sponsor RIA users fom all ages, like Don, to learn English, computing, Social Media and other courses. Giving people in marginalized Mexican communities access to technology will allow them to become full-fledged digital citizens with a voice and skills that will allow them to compete in an increasingly globalized world.
