We would like to thank our GlobalGiving donors for providing continuous support to our Project “Poor Couples to Access Family Planning”. Your kind contributions are giving them chance to understand more about Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Chanda, wife of Narendra, is residing in a very small village of Uttar Pradesh. She is 34 years old now and was not aware of the importance of sexual and reproductive health. In early 2021, she met our merrytarang worker during one of her visits to the village. She got to know about various facts about reproductive health and importance of different family planning methods during the meeting. After the discussion, she realized the need for a permanent family planning method for herself. Though she was thinking of surgery, but she was not able to find where to go and how to get it done at negligible cost as she belongs to a poor family. Since the ladies of the area were not even aware of sexual and reproductive health, she could not get any help from them. At last, she contacted our Merrytarang worker again who became the helping hand at the need of the hour. She referred her to the nearby Merrygold Hospital where Chanda got Family Planning Sterilization. She can access, avail, and afford these family planning services with your support. But there are still many Chanda’s who need to know about sexual and reproductive health so that they can also live a happy healthy life. To accomplish this goal, we need your kind support.
Chanda who is a role model for others in her community is thankful to you for your generous support. But many of her friends in the village require your help to afford these family planning services.
