Progress Report 13 – December 2025
During the second semester of the 2025 school year (August to December), the Brother Policarpo Student Residence has continued to offer a safe, stable, and educational space for 30 indigenous and rural students pursuing higher education at the 'Mons. Elías Olázar' Pedagogical Institute in Yurimaguas.
Over the past few months, the most significant achievements have been:
- Academic consolidation of the students, with personalized tutoring, continuous follow-up, and a progressive improvement in grades.
- Strengthening the use of digital tools for autonomous study, including regular internet access, basic digital literacy training, and guided practice.
- Positive internal coexistence, supported by adherence to the internal rules, conflict-resolution workshops, and a respectful environment.
- Active participation in civic and pedagogical activities, proudly representing their home communities.
- Improvement of basic infrastructure through minor maintenance work at the residence, thanks to community efforts and local volunteers.
These results were made possible thanks to the ongoing support of the Corazonista Foundation and the dedication of the team led by Brother Mariano Soria, director of the Residence. Despite limited resources and the significant needs of the students, the project successfully concluded the year with very positive outcomes.
