On January 10th, 2015 APSo organized a free health camp in Kasarani - Mwiki area where 152 children recieved free treatment of all kinds of skin diseases. Three children were found to have psoriasis and were enroled in APSos Psoriasis Patient Assistance Program (PPAP). The program is currently assisting 33 young psoriasis patients. The assisstance mostly includes dermatologists consultancy fee, medicine and transport to some. On averege, each patients spends $15 per month. Assistance to some patients runs into several months because psoriasis keeps recuring. This program has been made possible by your continued donations through GlobalGiving and on behalf of all the children who have benefited, i say thank you!
The next health camp will be on Saturday April 4, 2015 at PEFA Worship Center in Githurai area in Nairobi. This is a very low income area where families live on less than 2 dollars a day. The health camp will cater for about 250 Children from 10 primary schools in the area. Three dermatologists, a clinical officer and 4 nurses will volunteer to see the exercise through in three hours. Public education about psoriasis and other difficult skin diseases will be conducted on site. We would love if you could make a donation now to help make this worthy cause possible.
