“Waypoint is like a trampoline. You gave me a boost, and now I can fly!" — Isabelle, a participant who recently rode a bike for the first time since her traumatic brain injury.
Thanks to you, Waypoint Adventure opens doors that many thought closed. On her latest cycling adventure, Isabelle shared that Waypoint has inspired her to push her boundaries with confidence— from rock climbing to her latest job interview.
Your support made this possible.
This year, we celebrated milestones like expanding into western North Carolina. We've built partnerships, launched programs, and seen courage and transformation. When Hurricane Helene devastated our new community, it was the strength of supporters like you that helped us get back on track to bring adventures to people with disabilities.
Waypoint Adventure is now empowering more than 2,500 participants a year across greater Boston and North Carolina. Partnerships with the Liberty Mutual Foundation in Boston and North Carolina State Parks allowed us to make opportunities more accessible, and a grant from the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation allows us to broaden our programs to reach and support individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Discover how you can be part of the adventure and help us reach new heights this season. Together, we can make it a winter to remember! In Massachusetts, our Winter Adventures at Weston programs are officially live. If you are local or will be in our area, please come join us: https://waypoint-adventure.jumbula.com/open-enrollment.
Plus, this season we’re honoring Kevin, our 2024 Volunteer of the Year! Kevin’s dedication fuels our mission every day. From Rookie Volunteer of the Year to Volunteer of the Year, Kevin’s dedication has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2024 alone, he’s contributed over 146 volunteer hours across 31 programs—belaying, paddling, hiking, and biking into the hearts of our community. Explore Kevin’s adventure map and see highlights from our Volunteer Appreciation Party at Mighty Squirrel on our blog: https://ma.waypointadventure.org/news/
Also, this year your generosity goes twice as far! Thanks to a family donor, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $30,000. That means more accessible adventures, more moments of connection, and countless opportunities for participants to proudly say, “Yes, I Can!” Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to make twice the impact and help ensure adventures are accessible for all.
Thank you for your belief in every adventure and for moving forward with us!
