Abundance School in Slums of Nairobi Kenya

In 2014, a campaign to raise $11,728 for Abundance school was started. By August 2015, 21 donors had donated a sum of $2050. We used this amount to implement 17% of the work we had applied for:
1. Cleared stagnant water around the classroom; eradicated mosquito, refreshened air and made playing ground available for children's games.

2. Repaired the floor; made it safe for the children and eradicated jiggers from the classroom.

3. Partitioned and painted classroom; made it attractive in the eyes of children

4. Replaced teaching and learning material ; met the requirements by the Ministry of Education.

5. Hired an assistant teacher; reduced the workload among teachers and gave more attention to children Then

We wondered how $9678 more would be raised to complete the work?

A miracle happened on November 20th,2015;

The Abundance School received community grant $7642 from Global Giving-UK!!!!

Phase II of the work has begun.
We are insulating the classroom walls, buying school uniform to new and old pupils, We are also able to feed children and pay teachers for the whole year. We are also having an extra bookshelf made for the school.
Last but not the least our graduand children have all successfully been adminated to their respective public schools. We’ll always be monitoring their growth. We have also had 12 new babies joining our school.
Only 18% i.e $2050 is yet to be funded.

Because our project is more than 80% funded, we are able to plan ahead of our activies.We are more at easy ; a reasourcesful state to THINK BIG for our project.
