Thank you very much for reading our progress report.
We’ve reopened our school after a week of teachers’ empowerment course and four weeks of kids’ holiday. Teachers have been learning how to give attention to kids. Below is a feedback we received from one of teachers after the training.
“Kids tend to cry for attention more often. It is rather tasking to be there for every crying child. In fact, I always feel quilt in event where I cannot turn to a crying child. Little do I know that I encourage crying than stimulating their creative minds. I will ignore where possible to help them know that it’s not only through crying one gets the attention,” Said Teacher Millicent.
Recently, Lillian Omwenga (Board member of Tiba Africa Foundation) had a chance of visiting various projects United Kingdom. She brought back with her, gifts from friends and well-wishers of Tiba Africa Foundation under the stewardship of Andria Falk.
“Asante sana” (Thank you very much), said kids of Abundant school.
We are also pairing up Kids of Abundant School (Kenya) with some kids of Fairway School (UK). We hope that through pen pal friendship, kids will learn from one another.
Our other projects; Joy Baby Care and Give me Another Chance, have greatly been supported by a team of volunteer youths from Youth Empowerment Network. They played, fed and cleaned our kids. They offered motivational talks to people living with HIV and AIDs. We wish them success.
Thank you for supporting our projects.
