October 2023, C4HDI joined other organizations including USAID in organizing and planning for a massive Campaign for People Living With Disability in Umuahia, Abia State of Nigeria.
The Advocacy help drive home our ongoing project titled "About 400 Mentally/Physically Challenged Children;" which is aimed at assisting these lovely kids who found themselves in a situation that they didn't cause for themselves nor want. These children depend on 90% of our assistance to live a better life.
It will be recalled that Champions For Humanity Development Initiative (C4HDI) expressed concern about the present inhumane situation of these children which warrants them to be unkept, unhealthy, smelly and kind of menace to the community. It's also reported that the authorities and community are bereft as a result of the economic side effects of COVID-19 and the current hike in petrol and petroleum products in my community.
This has caused a major neglect by wards on the challenged children as many, if not all are struggling to survive on their own, as a top priority.
C4HDI together with concerned authorities and community also appeal for funds to help save this situation, pleasantly surprise these children as a sign of Humanity, Care, Love and Understanding.
