Dear Supporters,
Since we last wrote in March, our Helping Haitian Children Flourish project has kept growing, and we want to share how your generosity is helping our students flourish, both in the classroom and beyond it.
At Project Fleri, we believe that helping our students flourish means more than getting them through the school day. It means school supplies, steady access to the classroom, and something just as important, the chance to keep growing once the school day ends.
Each afternoon, our students have the opportunity to join in after-school activities designed to build on what they are learning in the classroom. From sports that build teamwork and confidence to English-speaking lessons that open new doors for their futures, these hours after the bell are where a lot of real growth happens. Watching our kids show up for each other on the field and push themselves in the classroom reminds us why this work matters.
That growth does not stop when our students leave the Welcome House, either. We are proud to share that a few of our former Welcome House students recently opened their own taxi business in Haiti. What began as kids finding stability and support in our program has grown into a real career path, one that gives them a meaningful, steady source of income they built for themselves. Seeing them go from students in our care to business owners in their community is exactly the kind of flourishing we hope for.
Our mission is to help every child in our care flourish, not just survive the school year, but build a future they can be proud of. Supplies, structure, and the chance to try something new are what make that possible, both in childhood and beyond it.
Thank you for choosing to give meaningfully. Because of you, our students have more than just what they need for school; they have the tools and the encouragement to thrive, now and into adulthood.
With gratitude,
Project Fleri
