The Foundation Day of Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, a fully free English medium residential school for the poorest of the poor run by Shoshit Seva Sangh was held on July 16, 2017. The students put-up a cultural performance in the school auditorium which included folk dance items and plays. The students performed Shakespeare’s Macbeth in English and a Hindi play which was an act from the Hindu epic Ramayana. The Independence Day of India was celebrated on August 15, 2017. An impressive function was held at the school. Sports week was also observed in the last week of September, 2017. Competitions were held among the four houses of the school in volley-ball, basket-ball, kabbadi/Kho-kho, hockey and martial arts. Coaches for each of these sports activities were fully involved in organizing the event. Special self-study classes was organized for the senior school boys of the SSK to prepare them for the semester exams schedule in the 1st & 2nd week of October, 2017.
