Under orders of the government the schools have remained closed due to the Covid Pandemic and it is hoped that schools would be permitted by the government to reopen in December, 2020. Shoshit Seva Sangh has utilized the enforced holiday to upgrade the teaching facilities at its school, Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, the fully free English medium residential school for the poorest of the poor. Smart class facility which includes computer, projectors, speakers and a screen have been installed in all the classrooms of SSK. Though the school is closed for the students, the teachers, are going to the school on all working days. They have been tasked to prepared audio-visual presentation. The Principal of the school who has considerable experience in running smart classes is guiding the teachers to prepare the audio-visual presentations for each chapter of the textbooks that they shall teach in the classrooms.
The enforced holiday has also provided an opportunity to upgrade the administrative facilities at the school. Considerable efforts have been made to improve the conditions of the compound and the sport fields. The school should have an attractive garden in the coming winter i.e. December, 2020 – March, 2021.
