Mexico is living the worst disaster in history, two earthquake on September 7 (8.2M) and September 19 (7.1M) has devastated many families. Your support will help TECHO to build transitional houses to those families (in Oaxaca, Puebla, Morelos, Mexico City and Mexico State) These emergency houses has an area of 32mts2, are of fiber cement and wood and has a lifespan of 20 years. This is just a breath of hope and relief, a new beginning, to many families who become homeless by the disaster.

Imagine you lost everything in a second because an earthquake. Can you? This is the reality many families in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Morelos, Mexico City and State of Mexico suffered after the last earthquakes on September 7 and 19.


The transitional house is a fast response to the emergency situation families, in center and south mexico are living. It is a good shelter that keeps families safe and away from the cold, rain and diseases.

Long-Term Impact

We are aiming to build 200 Emergency Houses at Oaxaca, Morelos, Puebla, Mexico City and Mexico State. These houses will provide temporary shelter to the families that lost everything in the earthquake's aftermath while they rebuild they damaged/collapsed homes.
