ActionAid works to end poverty, exclusion, and gender inequality across 45 countries. To achieve this, we don't tackle one individual problem, we go for the roots, partnering with marginalized communities to confront the underlying web of injustices that affect their daily lives.
In an ever-changing world where politics of alienation and division are on the rise, ActionAid takes sides with people living in poverty and stands for justice.
We stand with women as they fight to claim their sexual and reproductive rights; LGBTQI people campaigning for safety, equal rights to health care, and access to education; land rights defenders promoting sustainable food production and secure land rights; climate-impacted communities as they respond to floods, famine and drought, and changing climate; refugees and migrants in search of safety for themselves and their families; and young people seeking access to safe, quality public education.
People living in poverty are at the very center of our work and drive how our organization is run. Together, we tackle problems where we can make the most difference, connecting problem solvers from communities around the world with the people whose decisions affect their daily lives, so they can understand and claim their rights, and bring about change that lasts.
