Y The last touches have been in process in Diana‘s house. The roof and floor are ready. The girls are going to paint the inside of the house this weekend. Electricity is also ready, switches and bulbs.
It has been a very special project because we have been able to work with both the girls and Diana during the week and Diana’s husband has helped during the weekends, when he’s home from work.
A year ago Diana was very busy making their adobe bricks. Many families of San Pedro worked in a nearby plot of land shoveling and feeding the adobe machine to produce the material for their houses. The earth material for the walls works perfectly with the climate in this town very high above the Popocatepetl volcano.
The girls are so happy they have been able to start the school year already sleeping in their own house. They now have a comfortable place to sleep during this heavy rainy season.
