A helping hand to 6 families in need in Kosovo

In a small house in Fushë Kosova, Naim's wife carefully plans each day around what little she has. Her biggest worry is not herself, but whether her children will be able to continue going to school with full stomachs and a sense of dignity. Just a few kilometers away, in Janjeva, another family faces the same quiet struggle — choosing between basic necessities and the costs that come with education.

In 2025, thanks to the generosity of you donors, we were able to stand beside six families living in extreme economic hardship — three families from Janjeva and three from Fushë Kosova. What united these families was not only poverty, but also their determination to ensure that their children continue attending school regularly, despite the challenges they face at home.

Through monthly food and hygiene support, we helped ease the constant pressure these families live under. For parents, this support meant one less impossible choice. For children, it meant the ability to focus on learning, to sit in class without hunger, and to feel equal among their peers.

One mother shared with us that for the first time in months, she felt relief knowing that her children would not go to bed hungry — and that they could wake up ready for school the next day.

Because the need remains urgent, six new families have been selected for support this year — three from Fushë Kosova and three from Janjeva. These families face similar hardships, and their children are equally committed to continuing their education. With your help, they too will receive consistent support throughout the year.
