Give Books to Children in the Philippines
Children of San Roque gather around our volunteer, Vincent, to look at the pages of "Karapat-dapat," our activity book on the rights of the child. The San Roque community is an urban poor community that has been subject to evictions to make way for the building of a nearby mall and hotel. Working with volunteers, communities, and fellow non-profits, our book-giving project hopes to make communities like theirs feel included and not forgotten. On many occasions, the books we give are the very first they get to call their own.
