Thank You for the Steps!

By Sharon Runge | Executive Director

Best of All Step
Best of All Step

Thank you for donating to Steps to Reading!  Thanks to you, we not only installed one book step, but two in celebration of the Christian Surrey School. The books, "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywait and "Best of Al"l by Max Lucado are featured on our steps and now in the library. Ms. Krystal Wolgram and Ms. Heidi Walter's class held fundraisers and asked friends to make donations to help support Kenya Connect's Library programs.

The steps were installed in advance of the official opening of Kenya Connect's Library Learning Center. At the Gala, guests marveled at the beautiful steps and students were excited to see different books highlighted. It is our intent to inspire students and community members to become readers.

We invite you to watch our GALA CELEBRATION VIDEO to learn more about the opening of the Library Learning Center and to see the special features of the building. Our library has 30,000 books which are housed in the new library and brought to partner schools during School Library Days. Our Steps to Reading program is helping us bring the joy, wonder and knowledge of books to even more people!

Thank you again for your generous support! You are helping us be #TheVillageThatReads!
