When it was becoming more and more obvious that due to COVID we could not safely run our Youth Bank program, the entire Bridge to Ukraine team was really sad and discouraged. We had been planning the relaunch of our Youth Bank for almost a year and we were really excited to train and fund our first group of Ukrainian youth leaders. However, the support we received from you when we temporarily changed our focus to purchasing PPE for Ukrainian hospitals has been AMAZING.
Thanks to you, Bridge to Ukraine raised $4000 (about 105,000 Ukrainian Hryvnias) for four hospitals in Odessa and Donetsk Oblasts. The PPE purchased with these funds includes 1700 isolation gowns, 1000 gloves, 500 respirator masks, and 1000 surgical masks. This equipment will allow Ukrainian doctors and nurses to continue treating Ukrainians with COVID without themselves contracting the virus.
Ukrainian lives will be saved thanks to YOU!
