Donor support for the microproject to purchase 21 trees for a sport court at a new school for 3,500 girls, grades K through 12 did not occur.
The school, located in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan's third largest city will be opened March 31, 2015. Designed Designed by an international team of architects, this public school will exemplify the importance of education for girls in Afghanistan as well as the best in sustainable design and construction appropriate to the culture and environment of northern Afghanistan. The sport court will provide an attractive outdoor recreational space for girls of all age
We have secured a major donor for the trees and sport court project so it will proceed over the course of the next month and the girls will have both a beautifully landscaped school as well as a court to play sports.
