Today as part of the Life skills program for children in Ambujwadi, an exposure educational visit was organised at Mankhurd children’s home.
The children interacted with the CWC members about their role on child care and protection and also presented their work as BASS in the community. The members were happy and applauded their efforts on raising awareness and advocating for child rights at such a young age.
On visiting the premises of Children’s home, they observed and learned about the routines and life of children at the home. To our surprise, when asked how many of them would like to stay at the home, all the children raised their hands, the reasons being- ample of space to play, good roads, school is nearby the home so the children don’t have to walk so much, discipline and time management, TV time.
This was quite insightful of the lack of facilities in Ambujwadi for children.
