Noor E Academy

Noor Academy is one of 15 schools Thrive serves across Bangladesh and the Philippines. Noor, or The40, was founded by Nasrine Karim, the mother of longtime Thrive supporter and advisor Mishal Karim, as a school for underprivileged boys who've lost their parents. The school is located in Comila, Bangladesh, southeast of Dhaka, in the former home of Nasrine's grandmother, a place she always considered home.

Noor currently educates and houses 18 boys, ages 8 to 18. Thrive began daily food deliveries to Noor in 2019. The school aims to give children the support they need to develop into productive members of society and achieve whatever dreams they may have. In addition to the academic curriculum, the school emphasizes developing passions and hobbies through enrichment opportunities in sports, art, and foreign language.
